Foundations

When you think of a foundation you might think of something that provides support; an idea, a principle, or the base of a house. When we look at the body we should ALWAYS utilize fundamental, primary muscles to ensure correct movement

  • At HELIYO we have developed a proprietary training methodology based on human physiology, logic & experience that develops this strong foundation
  • When we move and train with a weak or compromised foundation we can develop compensations or muscular imbalances. These compensations and imbalances built up over time, due to poor movement patterns, are VERY hard to unlearn and often lead to nagging pains and injuries
  • To build a high pyramid you need a wide base… Build the foundation correctly first!

This approach doesn’t factor in the individual and can be detrimental to your body, further ingraining compensating motor patterns or worse, causing injury. HELIYO Personal Training is about YOU, the individual.  Factoring in your specific needs to CORRECTLY accelerate your fitness and performance gains. This tailored and targeted approach helps resolve and prevent injuries while optimizing performance – whatever performance means to you

We start your journey with a deep dive into you as an individual athlete, compiling information about your body, movement, pain, and goals. Why? Because if it’s not centered around you (your body, your goals, your needs), it won’t work

We then make sure every step of your fitness journey is tailored to fit you. You will progress at your pace, based on your goals and performance

Our team are all experts in their fields. That means that not only are we great motivators, exercise programmers, PTs, strategists, connect 4 players, and coaches, we’re also able to implement these key principles that set us aside from other personal trainers:

  1. identify the cause of inefficient movement
  2. rewire the brain to the muscles to enhance muscle recruitment and correct movement patterns
  3. map out the plan for continual progress toward achieving YOUR end goals

Our coaches are movement expert yes (and a proven ones at that), but we pride ourselves with having the uncanny ability to understand you, your body, and LISTEN to your needs
